The Sony ICD-SX700 is a quality digital voice recorder featuring a built-in stereo microphone for superior audio quality during playback. It can record dictation in up to 7 different formats on an integrated slab of flash memory (1GB). On the low end is the LP mode with 372 hours of recording time. For those seeking quality, however, the ICD-SX700 supports MP3 recordings up to 8 hours. As well as being podcast ready, this unit also supports MP3/WMA/ID3 tags, dictation correcting during playback, and digital pitch control tools. Included with the Sony ICD-SX700 is Sound Forge Audio Studio 9.0 L.E. software, a Windows-compatible program for editing voice and music recordings.
